Summary of Job Duties:

The Athletics Marketing Graduate Assistant is responsible for day-to-day activities in the marketing department, to include the following:
Assist in creating and implementing marketing plans for assigned sports Communicate with coaching staffs to develop and implement marketing and promotional plans; create strategies for fan engagement and attendance; and act as game producer for assigned sports Assist in training interns in necessary duties within the marketing department – including gameday execution, creating timing sheets, scriptwriting on-campus promotion, and event setup Assist with creation and implementation of digital, email, and social strategy for assigned sports Assist with post-season events as it relates to assigned sports Act as marketing liaison to assigned special marketing initiatives Assist with community relations initiatives including the Junior Razorbacks program Assist with additional sports as needed Other duties as assigned by the marketing team
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earned Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, or a related field

  • Enrollment and/or acceptance in a University of Arkansas graduate program

  • At least one year of relevant athletic experience (volunteer/hourly will be considered)

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including both verbal and written

  • Ability to work nights and weekends

  • Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations
