Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine program logistics/maintain requirements or activities to ensure the quality of programs.
  • Monitor program development timelines and communicate status to supervisor.
  • Participate in the development of social media and print media marketing strategies to promote programs.
  • Assist in developing operation goals, objectives, and standards for programs, projects, etc.
  • Tracking trending topics and overall programs and events around the University on all three campuses.
  • Creates data reports for engagement events and workshops as directed.
  • Meets weekly or as needed with the Executive Director
  • Help build community coalitions through supportive coordination and communication with Divisional and community committees and organizations.
  • Provide support to test proctoring in partnership with Student Affairs and the Provost offices for the Tulsa, Polytech, and HSC campuses.
  • Conduct detailed intake interviews with students to gather information on their specific testing needs, challenges, and requested accommodations.
  • Assist with overseeing exam takers as needed to ensure adherence to established rules and procedures. This includes actively monitoring the room, deterring cheating, and ensuring all participants remain focused on the task.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor's degree. Must be current OU Graduate Student and enrolled in the Spring Term and must commit to working multiple semesters.

  • Must attach Spring 2024 OU class schedule

Skills:

  • Successful experience in performing duties associated with academic administration, either secondary or post-secondary.
  • Counseling experience with low-income/first generation/disabled students.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of targeted populations.
  • Knowledge of operating within a university culture and setting.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Composition and proofreading skills.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in navigating and maintaining databases.
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
  • Ability to communicate well and build rapport with students, faculty, and staff.
