Position Summary
The Department of Chemistry is accepting applications for Graduate Assistants on a consistent basis. Should your application be considered, you will be contacted by the hiring official or graduate coordinator. 
 
Generally, graduate students teach three labs as the principal instructor. They are responsible for attending all lab meetings, preparing for the laboratory by completing the experiments themselves or shadowing an experienced teaching assistant, giving a pre-laboratory lecture, and grading all lab reports for their assigned lab sections. In addition to the 15 hours per week spent on their lab sections, graduate assistants will work another 5 hours per week in the tutoring center, grading, lab prep or faculty support activities.
