Job Description:

This position is responsible for coordinating and managing all administrative, organizational and financial
coordination aspects of the Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology (EEOB) graduate program as well as
oversees all administrative work with EEOB’s postdoctoral research/non-faculty appointments. The incumbent
serves in a critical administrative role by working with the Director/s of Graduate Studies, EEOB faculty,
Department Manager, Graduate School, Registrar, Postdoctoral office and Office of International Students and
Scholars. This position also maintains all centralized and statistical source files and databases on students,
postdocs and serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external program constituencies. Maintains
the EEOB internal/external website, Twitter account, manages all recruitment activities, manages admissions
process, manages all administrative systems and records, and provides overall support for the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years of administrative support experience (preferably in an
academic environment) or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Experience in student services is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, FileMaker Pro, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, web-based tools, and
Gmail.
• Strong office skills including writing, correspondences, protocols and electronic filing skills.
• Strong accounting/budget/financial skills, specifically with accounts payable, accounts receivable,
analysis, reporting, reconciling and journal entries.
• Some understanding of Visa processing would be helpful.
