Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admissions, the Graduate Admissions Counselor performs significant admissions and recruiting functions necessary to accomplish graduate student enrollment goals.  The incumbent participates in all aspects of admissions and recruitment work including, but not limited to: the representation of the University to diverse audiences, planning and implementing recruitment strategies and activities in all aspects of recruitment both regionally and nationally; application review process of applicant credentials seeking admission; travel regionally for college and university visits; inquiry/prospect management; and correspondence.  
Required Qualifications:
1.     Bachelor’s degree.  
 
2.     Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.  
 
3.     Valid U.S. driver’s license from the state in which the candidate resides and valid passport, and ability to travel nationally.  Must have an acceptable driving record in accordance with the university’s Motor Vehicle policy.  
 
4.     Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.  
 
5.     Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
 
6.     Familiarity with computer systems and social media platforms. 
 
7.     Must be willing and able to work overtime and/or at other FDU locations as required.
 
8.     Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.  Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
