Position Summary:       

The Graduate Enrollment Management (GEM) team at Yeshiva University is charged with attracting, selecting, and matriculating a high caliber of diverse students into Yeshiva’s graduate programs. Reporting to the Executive Director of Graduate Enrollment Management, we seek an Admissions Advisor to play a critical role in growing and evolving the enrollment management strategy at Yeshiva.

The Admissions Advisor is the prospective student’s first personal interaction with the school and university. The Advisor will work with a pipeline of prospective students from the initial inquiry to the handoff to the school’s student services staff. The goal of the Advisor is to provide the best service to prospective students and meet all recruitment benchmarks. To reach these goals, the Admissions Advisor will need to engage with prospects and applicants throughout the entire recruitment cycle in an ongoing basis. The Advisor is expected to employ an ownership mentality and partner with the Recruitment Team and internal/external stakeholders to ensure the program’s success.

Position Responsibilities:

The Admissions Advisor duties include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct student recruitment for graduate programs in various areas of study through consistent outreach via phone, text, email, and LiveChat
  • Qualify new inquiries and applications for various graduate degree programs through meaningful conversations and guide prospects from new inquiry to admitted student phase of Student Lifecycle
  • Effectively manage students through admissions process with control of total application pipeline
  • Maintain subject matter expertise for each degree program including curriculum, structure, notable faculty, program value and industry knowledge or trends
  • Attending & leading virtual and in-person events as scheduled by the Recruitment Team (at times outside of the normal schedule)

 

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree and two years of professional experience required
  • Demonstrated success within higher education, admissions, recruitment, and/or sale

Skills & Competencies:

  • Intermediary knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
  • Experience with or interest in developing advanced skills in data management
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment in applying problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Diplomatic approach to managing and reconciling conflicting priorities
  • Experience achieving high quality outcomes
  • Excellent time management skills and self direction
  • Knowledge of CRM systems like Recruit, Salesforce, and/or HubSpot
