Vaccination Requirement | The University of Nebraska Medicine Center (UNMC) requires COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, staff, and faculty. All employees must be fully vaccinated unless they have requested and been approved for an exemption based on a recognized medical reason, a sincerely held religious belief, or a pre-approved, 100% remote work agreement. Fully vaccinated means having received one dose of a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (Moderna and Pfizer). As a prospective and/or a new employee at UNMC, you will be/are required to comply with the UNMC’s vaccination protocol. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers will have five (5) days from the date of hire to provide proof of partial or full vaccination or to request a medical or religious exemption. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with proof of partial vaccination may have up to thirty-five (35) days from the hire date to be in full compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers who receive a denial of a request for medical or religious exemption will be given five (5) business days from exemption denial notification date to provide proof of compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with no approved exemption who fail to comply with this policy will be separated. |

Position Summary | GME: Primary coordinator of one or two accredited educational programs that combined total less than 14 trainees. -Oversees and coordinates activities and ensures requirements are met related to institutional, program and board certification requirements. -Acts as liaison between education program authority and recipients. -Manages recruitment, application and orientation process. -Responsible for management of revenues and expenses. -Performs other duties as required in a competent professional, respectful and collaborative manner. Coordinates all events and activities related to multiple post-graduate training programs within the Department of Surgery, including, but not limited to Cardiothoracic Residency and Vascular Fellowship. Assures compliance and conformity to all institutional and external guidelines related to the house officers and accreditation of the programs. Interact daily with house officers and collaborate with multiple Program Directors, prioritizing tasks accordingly. |
