Summary of Job Duties:

The Gift Processor and Database Specialist serves as a member and strategic partner of the Advancement team and is responsible for strategic work that involves daily recording and processing of gifts received to both the University of Arkansas and to the University of Arkansas Foundation ledgers. In addition, the Gift Processor and Database Specialist verifies and updates biographical information in a database system.
Working collaboratively across the division, campus, and beyond, Gift Processor and Database Specialist maintains collegial relationships to seamlessly assist both donors and campus partners record and understand their gift transactions.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Director, Gift Administration, the Gift Processor and Database Specialist embodies the competencies and values of Advancement: Integrity, Service, Leadership, Inclusion, Teamwork, and Continuous Improvement.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, general business, finance, or a related field

  • At least two years of administrative support, customer service, data entry or related experience

Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications.

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Highly detail-oriented

Preferred Qualification:

  • Three or more years of administrative or related experience

  • Experience working with constituent relationship management (CRM) software

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat

  • Experience in verifying, updating and reviewing database entries

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting principles

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong organizational & time management skills

  • Analytical & problem solving skills

  • Basic typing skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
