Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm


Job Summary: The general purpose of this position is to maintain, program, operate and interpret the results of an automated x-ray diffractometer. The job requires assisting faculty and staff in various capacities.


Required Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Geology. Computer skills, word processing skills, mechanical aptitude, electrical aptitude, knowledge of theory and analytical techniques of x-ray diffraction and fluorescence.


Preferred Qualifications: BS or MS in Geology preferred. Other science-related disciplines and/or computer backgrounds will be considered.
