The University of Chicago’s Department of Pathology is searching for a full-time faculty member in Genitourinary Pathology at the Assistant Professor rank. The appointee will be based on the University of Chicago’s Hyde Park campus and will have clinical responsibilities in anatomic pathology. The position reports to the Vice Chair for Anatomic Pathology and the Director of Genitourinary Pathology. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible to hold a medical license in the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana, and 3) have board certification in Anatomic Pathology through the American Board of Pathology.

We especially welcome candidates with good communication skills, the ability to work as a team, and a strong record in academic productivity. Fellowship training in urologic pathology is preferred.
