Job Summary

The Division of Student Affairs Business Operations Graduate Assistant will work closely with the Associate Director of Business Operations to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of daily Business Operations for the Division of Student Affairs.

Specific duties and responsibilities include assisting with:
1. Creating and maintaining databases relating to Business Operations
2. Processing and/or review of invoices
3. Processing of required Purchasing paperwork including Agreements for Services, Purchase Order Amendments and Close Forms, etc.
4. Reconciling department accounts
5. Contract communication between the Divisional office and impacted departments
6. Updating and maintaining various spreadsheets
7. Other duties as assigned


Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$1473 per month


Required Qualifications

1. Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook which can be found at https://hr.illinoisstate.edu/downloads/GA_Handbook.pdf
2. Must be a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University in Masters of Business Administration, Accounting, or Economics - Financial Economics


Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field


Work Hours

Between 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

August 12, 2024 (or preferred June 1, 2024)

There is an opportunity for this assistantship to begin working in June as an hourly student worker depending on course enrollment.

You must be eligible for employment in the United States and at Illinois State University and/or for the number of hours required for the position.

Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held. International students are restricted by their visa status to no more than 20 hours per week of on-campus employment when the university is in session but may work up to 28 hours per week when the university is not in session.
