Shift
Weekdays between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Some evenings and weekends. UK Invests events are usually between 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Job Summary
  • Cover information booth at various locations across campus to answer questions and assist students (5 hours per week)
  • Assist with tabling events scheduled for resource fairs as schedule allows (this will vary by week but typically no more than 5 hours in a week)
  • Assist with following up with students who reported an issue with their account or had questions about UK Invests via email (1-2 hours per week)
  • Deliver resources (handouts, promotional items, etc.) to campus partners weekly as needed (1-2 hours per week)
  • Assist with setting up and taking attendance at UK Invests in person sessions (late afternoon/evening hours- eight hours during the UK Invests sessions with athletes one time per semester, up to two hours for the week when scheduled as a general session).

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
A successful candidate will be enthusiastic about the UK Invests program and eager to work with students who are interested in the program. Good communication skills and a strong service orientation will be vital. Organizational skills and follow-up on tasks will be critical. Basic technical skills (how to download an app, how to delete an app, how to close an app, how to connect to WIFI etc.) are helpful to be able to support student questions. Successful candidates will be able to triage problems and connect students to the appropriate resource for further support.

Preferred Education/Experience
Face-to-face engagement and customer service roles. Communications and/or hospitality majors preferred.
