Job Summary/Basic Functions

Students will assist and work with nuclear physics detectors, simulations, and analysis in fundamental neutron beta decay experiments. Students will gain experience working in the nuclear and particle physics detector lab at EKU while gaining experience working with a larger collaboration. No previous experience with these instruments or equipment is required and students will learn about nuclear physics as a part of their on-the-job training.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled at EKU

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of modern physics and the desire to learn about nuclear and particle physics equipment, hardware, programming, and analysis.

 

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
