Miami Herbert Business School at the University of Miami is inviting applications for a full-time Lecturer position in the Department of Business Law starting in the Fall of 2024.

The Department is especially interested in with experience and demonstrable excellence in teaching Business Law, Ethics, and/or Critical Thinking (legal reasoning and persuasion/advocacy) at a high level of proficiency A terminal degree in law (J.D.) from an accredited institution is required. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position is not tenure earning.

Responsibilities also include: Instruction of 8 courses (24 credit per academic year), lecturing, leading class discussions and conducting other teaching activities during scheduled classes; creating, administering and grading using appropriate assessment methods;  holding office hours and providing additional support for students outside the class time periods; calculating and submitting grades for all students; collaborating with the chair and faculty of the Business Law Department to create coursework or support the department’s mission; following established expectations and protocols for the department and to stay current in the field. Associated faculty are not expected to conduct research, but this is an encouraged activity. Please note, the position is not tenured earning.
