The Department of Chemistry at Temple University invites applications and nominations for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position at the Full/Associate/Assistant Professor level in the general area of Organic Chemistry. Temple University is a Carnegie R1 (highest research activity) institution that serves more than 33,000 students. Temple University is located in the heart of Philadelphia, a city known for arts, culture, history and affordable living, and is in close proximity to many outstanding research centers and industry partners. Housed within the College of Science and Technology, the Department of Chemistry serves undergraduate majors and graduate students with academic programs that prepare students to solve challenging, interdisciplinary problems that impact society. The department is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive departmental community.
Applications for all levels should include a cover letter, CV, proposed research plan, and statement of teaching. Applications at the Assistant Professor level should also include three letters of recommendation, and Associate or Full Professor level applications should include names of at least five references and selected reprints. Associate/Full professor applicants who have demonstrated leadership in organic chemistry through publications, grant support, invited talks, and awards are particularly encouraged to apply.
