Job Description:

The Nursing Department is seeking a federal aid recipient for student employment. This position will be funded by federal work study dollars; only students that receive financial aid awards can be considered for this specific role. If you have questions about your award or are not certain that you are receiving financial aid, please log into your Web4 account and check your award amount for Federal Workstudy. If you do not see a Workstudy award amount, then you are not eligible to apply. If you have any questions regarding your award, contact the Office of Financial Aid at extension 3156. Please see below the specific duties and responsibilities of the position.

Description of Duties:

  • Assists the Nursing Lab/Simulation Coordinator with setting up the Skills Lab with necessary equipment.
  • Assists with testing and general maintenance of the equipment
  • General housekeeping to maintain cleanliness and order of both the Skills Lab/Health Assessment Lab.
  • Inventory and restocking of supplies.
  • Changes bed linens and cleans manikins.
  • Clerical work (i.e. copying, filing, typing, etc.)
  • Assist with equipment repairs (using a drill, screwdriver, glue gun, etc.)


    • Requirements:

    A student in thenursing major with:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • A willingness to do cleaning, lifting and other housekeeping activities.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and terminology.
  • Good technology skills.


    • Additional Information:

    Shift Information:  You must be a undergraduate nursing major to be eligible for this position. You must also have Federal Workstudy money allocated to you in your financial aid package. Please check your Web4 account to see if you were granted Federal Workstudy funds BEFORE you apply for this position.

    Shift will vary based on student schedules and the pay is $15 per hour.
