The Fogarty Global Health Fellows program is now accepting applications from individuals interested in conducting 12 months of research at our affiliated sites in low and middle-income countries. Trainees receive a competitive stipend, research funds, travel, and health insurance and are supported by a team of mentors. Research opportunities are available in a variety of disciplines including infectious disease, non-communicable diseases, trauma/surgery/emergency medicine, and environmental health.

Trainees design their own research projects or integrate into faculty-designed projects.

Additional Details:

Compensation: Stipend: $21-51K depending on education; $7,500-10K for research


Eligible: US & LMIC Pre/Post-Docs (individuals currently enrolled in PhD programs), Medical Students, Residents and Fellows. Master’s degree students are only eligible if they have already received an advanced degree (PhD, MD, etc.).
