Event Attendant
Job Description
ASU Gammage is seeking part-time employees to work as ushers during events. Our Floor Mangers create a welcoming environment for our patrons as they scan tickets, offer directions and provide information. ASU Gammage accommodates up to 3,000 patrons a night. This position has no set hours since all work is event based. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Salary Range
$20.00 per hour
Essential Duties
- Scan tickets from patrons and ensure tickets are valid for event
- Monitor entrances, exits and aisles in facility
- Direct patrons to their seating locations, including individuals who require special assistance
- Provide information to patrons regarding the events
- Respond to patrons experiencing medical emergencies
- Assist and resolve patron complaints
Minimum Qualifications
No prior experience required; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience (6 months)
- Experience in customer service to a diverse group of people
- Experience in communicating verbally to large groups of people
- Bilingual skills appreciated
- Punctuality
Working Environment
- Ability to clearly communicate.
- Ability to climb stairs, walk through the seating areas and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to assist/direct patrons to exits in an emergency evacuation situation.
- Ability to respond quickly in an emergency situation.
- Visually detect prohibited items being brought into the building.
- Ability to greet patrons and scan tickets at entrances.
- Ability to bend, reach, and lift, push or pull up to 25 lbs.
