About the Position:

The George Mason University Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center invites applications for the Fitness Floor Attendant position.

Shifts Available:

  • Tuesday, 1-5 pm
  • Wednesday, 1-5 pm
  • Saturday, 8 am-12 pm
  • Sunday, 1-6 pm 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the fitness floor (i.e., cardio room, weight room, and track);
  • Assist members and guests with their needs; and
  • Maintain a clean work environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Understanding of exercise and the use of exercise equipment;
  • Must have current (or must be able to obtain) CPR/First Aid/AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certifications;
  • Must be able to safely and independently move up to 50 pounds, and perform light maintenance; and
  • Must be energetic, dependable, and flexible.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Personal training certification from a nationally accredited organization is a plus!
