Job Description Summary
This part-time position is in a zebrafish laboratory studying the exciting area of developmental biology. We are looking for a few people who want to be part of a motivated and fun team that cares for a large research fish facility with over 4,000 tanks.
Job Description
The position includes fish feeding, raising fish, filter maintenance, aquarium maintenance, and water quality monitoring. Although you do not have to be familiar with these techniques, you do need to be careful and conscientious, with a desire to learn new procedures. The job is in a stimulating and rewarding environment. The position is currently temporary with the potential to develop into a regular position. Currently, the person will be needed 14-20 hours per week. We are seeking a reliable, motivated individual with close access to the University of Pennsylvania campus, who will be available to come in even in the event of inclement weather. There is great opportunity in this position to gain valuable skills and a path to a rewarding career at the University of Pennsylvania. Most will start at $13.00-16.00 an hour based on experience.
