This position serves as a Fiscal Specialist for the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. Works directly with Fiscal Director, Fiscal Mangers, Department Chairs, Program Directors, Center Directors, Administrative Officers, to oversee operating and restricted accounts. Ensures that funds are utilized and distributed according to University and Dietrich School policy. Reconciles level reports on a monthly basis; provides accurate accounting reports. Works with Sponsored Research Administration to assist with grant funding. Oversees purchasing, travel and business expense reporting and reimbursements. Oversees professional service agreements and contracts in collaboration with Fiscal Managers. Requires strong financial accounting skills and an ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community. 



Job Summary

Creates, monitors, analyzes, and reconciles budgets and purchasing services. Processes and reconciles financial transactions; prepares disbursement requests and financial reports. Resolves transactions issues. Collaborates to resolve transfer issues, test new transfer processes, and resolve complex payment issues.


Essential Functions 

The successful candidate will use a computer extensively. Excel experience a Must. They must be capable of oral, written, and electronic communications. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. In addition to a computer, they must be able to use a telephone and other general office equipment including but not limited to fax machines, photocopiers, scanners, printers, etc. 


Physical Effort 

This position is generally sedentary within an office setting, but the ability to travel around campus is occasionally necessary. Also, must be able to pick-up and carry 25 pounds.

Hiring Range $42,969 to $53,711 annually
