Position Details:

Summary of Duties:

U nder general supervision, performs complex fiscal analysis, oversees hiring and payroll functions to ensure accurate pay and correct accounting. Performs accounts payable, procurement and account receivable functions for multiple areas; validates the accuracy of data and performs account reconciliations; develops, modifies and maintains report formats to ensure accurate and meaningful management information; exercises independent judgment to recommend and implements policies and practices to improve current operations and quality of information. Review, implement and oversee application of fiscal policies, regulations, and procedures.


Required Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Fiscal Specialist 1 AND 15 quarter hours OR 10 semester hours of college-level accounting; OR equivalent education/experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Well organized with the ability to handle large volumes of transactions and meet monthly deadlines.

  • Experience with Microsoft Offices, spreadsheet, email and calendar products.

  • Experience working with a mainframe General Ledger accounting system.

  • Demonstrated sensitivity to and experience in effectively working with diverse or multicultural populations.

Monthly Salary:

$3,619 to $4,842 | Range 43 (Steps A-M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 .
