ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Assistant Director, of Fiscal and Business Administration which oversees grants, clinical contracts running through DRS, clinical trials and USF auxiliary accounts for the Department of Pediatrics. The position will support the division of Child Development providing fiscal support to multiple grant projects in the department.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing financial analysis and projections, budget management, and fiscal resource management. Will be main support to assigned grants and contracts in the Division of Child Development in the Department of Pediatrics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform detailed reconciliation, monthly recaps of all grants to ensure appropriate spending.
Budget development and budget modifications (with oversight from administration).
Monthly invoicing to sponsor which includes careful review of errors and items that need correction by DSR.
Manages 40 Stipends for HRSA trainees, 3 times a year; move interns fringe off of HRSA and to the UMSA monthly or as needed.
Creating Vendor agreements, invoicing and paying vendors
Creating Gift Card agreements and monitoring. Creating Vendor agreements, invoicing and paying vendors. Creating Gift Card agreements and monitoring
Provide grant administration support to the Division of Child Development. Review and process all research related procurement needs for the division, verify documents for accuracy, compliance and eligibility prior to submission to the Assistant Research Director for approval. Monthly reconciliation of all expenses. Purchasing for both sponsored accounts and clinical / UMSA related items.
Travel coordination and mileage coordination (both grant and UMSA related)
Basic administrative support for division and program other duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or other field directly related to the position's specific responsibilities and 0-2 years of fiscal related work, experience; or a Bachelor's degree in no specific required field and two years of fiscal related work experience; or four years fiscal related work experience.
PREFERRED:
Master's degree in Finance or Accounting
