|Summary of Duties||
The Department of Statistics, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Fiscal Associate to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. Serves as lead travel specialist; provides fiscal, travel, procurement and administrative support for faculty and programs; serves as primary point of contact to faculty, staff, and students on university, travel, expenditure, college and department policies and procedures; advises on appropriate travel methods; manages travel and meeting arrangements for department faculty, researchers, students and visitors; initiates and tracks eTravel requests, payment and expenditures in compliance with university policy and purchasing guidelines; resolves issues with travel transactions including interaction with suppliers and /or central officers when necessary; assists Senior Department Manager in the day to day business operations and the fiscal, procurement, and payment processing for the department; advises faculty, staff, and students on university, college, and departmental procurement/fiscal policies and procedures; checks for accuracy of transactions for compliance with state and federal laws, OSU and OSP fiscal policies and procedures, and resolves problems as necessary; works closely with College of Arts and Sciences Business Services Center to resolve issues with transactions; tracks, performs database management of client billing system, makes deposits and aids faculty in management of SCS; provides operations reports for the Senior Department Manager; supervises student workers and front office reception; arranges special department events and functions; coordinates arrangements for departmental seminars and receptions; distributes colloquium and seminar notices; other duties as assigned by Senior Department Manager.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 1-3 years of progressively responsible business operations experience in and administrative capacity; proficiency with Microsoft Office modules including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation software.
1-3 years of experience managing quantitative projects including: managing databases, surveys, and project records; experience with client time and billing systems; knowledge of OSU, OSP, and ASC BSC policies and procedures; experience working with OSU fiscal, procurement, and travel transactions; experienced and approved user of university systems, including fiscal, eRequest, eTravel, eReports systems.
