Position Summary
The Fiscal Assistant will primarily be responsible for the day to day Accounts Payable and Procurement functions of the Law School. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Interpreting University policies for faculty, staff and students concerning reimbursement for business travel expenses and payment to outside vendors
- Reviewing and resolving items returned for correction by central administrative and financial offices
- Supporting all Law School constituents through Procurement processes
- Serving as Law School’s primary liaison with University’s officers of accounts payable and procurement
Conditions of Employment
This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Basic bookkeeping experience required.
- Proven ability to produce accurate work under sometimes tight time constraints.
- Strong interpersonal communications, organization, and analytical skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work well with and provide services to a diverse constituency within the Law School and campus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Accounting experience preferred or ongoing educational coursework in a business or accounting field
- Work experience in accounting and financial reporting environment.
- Experience with Banner and/or Qlik a plus

Advertised Pay Range Up to $46,000 commensurate with experience
