Position Details:


Summary of Duties:

This position is responsible for finance and budget review, analysis, and reporting for Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). This position will perform a variety of professional financial reviews and analysis of fiscal, grant and budget data including, preparing projections and sources of funds for expenses; developing and monitoring grant budgets; reviewing actual expenses monthly and informing the director and faculty regarding balances and funding issues. Additionally, this position will perform a variety of functions related to supporting the payroll and personnel needs within the department.


Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree, which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting and two (2) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent education/experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • WSU Budget Certification

  • Experience analyzing and interpreting financial data and preparing financial reports, statements and/or fiscal projections.

  • Experience working with grants and contracts.

  • Proficiency with computer software (Microsoft Office applications) and database applications.

  • Experience auditing, reconciling, and analyzing data. Experience working within a higher education setting.

  • Experience working with budgets within WSU or other higher education institution.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Range 50, $4,117.00 - $5,399.00 | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 or applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
