These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations. |
Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician for Emergency Services. In accordance with university procedures, NJ Division of Fire Safety Standards, NFPA standards and Factory Mutual Insurance requirements, conducts inspections, tests, maintenance and repair on water based fire suppression systems and interfaced equipment, including but not limited to fire pumps, fire sprinkler systems, fire standpipe systems and interfaced alarm equipment throughout all university buildings and structures as directed. As a uniformed member of Emergency Services, shall observe and report public safety hazards through the appropriate chain of command and emergency issues directly to the appropriate public safety communications center.
