Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced community educational and volunteer educational management program professional to serve as the face of the office and the Fire-Smart Landscaping program with eleven fire agencies, the position sponsor, and three other community-based organizations, bringing coordination on information gap identification, content development, and educational program delivery. This will involve problem solving and developing a shared understanding and vocabulary to interpret and modify the application of policies and legislation that regulate home landscapes for fire prevention. Incumbent will also coordinate and provide technical support to a cadre of UC Master Gardeners, landscape care professionals, and defensible space evaluators as part of the countywide multi-organization home education team.

Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for delivering courses, presentations and development programs. Receives general instructions and exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for course and instructional improvement. Fully knowledgeable in course subject matter and program.

This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed.
