The Financial Research Administrator Intern Position is an entry level position that will allow an individual to gain baseline core competencies essential to the daily functions of a financial research administrator.

Responsibilities will include activities involving an understanding of general terminology, cost accounting concepts, post-award management, preaward administration, and budget preparation.

The provisional period will allow the employee to review and gain an understanding of University, federal and sponsor baseline information, guidelines and processes, as well as completing University training in various professional development activities. A detailed curriculum will be followed to allow the individual to gain personal experience in a structured and supportive environment.

The incumbent will be responsible for the direct management of all preaward and post-award activities of the international awards maintained by the SVCHS Research Administration Office. In addition, this individual will provide support to other areas within the health sciences as needs arise.
