Primary Purpose:
 

Responsible for interviewing patients to determine medicaid and financial assistance eligibility for various state and local assistance programs. Able to work independently, managing a dynamic workload, while providing patients and families with outstanding customer service. Collaborates with departments within the Revenue Cycle and Clinical staff to maximize reimbursement in a timely manner to ensure protection of hospital's financial position.

Qualifications

 

Knowledge and Skills:
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Years of Experience: Prefer minimum 2 years' experience interviewing public regarding applications for financial assistance in health care setting.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of federal and state Medicaid laws and regulations, Social Security disability and supplemental security income disability requirements. Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
