Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade NE1. Wage Minimum $17.84/hr

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of PeopleSoft and University of Louisville accounting systems preferred. Experience with pharmaceutical industry contract and budget negotiation preferred. Experience with clinical trial billing in the context of research regulations, including Medicare, preferred.

Position Description

Under direct supervision of the Financial Coordinator, Senior; the Clinical Trials Financial Coordinator will assume responsibility for developing and negotiating clinical trial budget contracts and monitoring adherence to the same. The Financial Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing proposed budgets and working with study specific teams, sponsors and facilities to determine cost and prepare budgets; for developing budgets for investigator-initiated trials; for coordinating and carrying out daily financial activities related to the conduct of clinical trials in accordance to budget and contract terms; for reconciling trial accounts by regularly reviewing transactions with concerned entities for accuracy and appropriateness; for maintaining study financial files and data preparing financial reports as required; for performing periodical audits of trial accounts; and for gathering necessary documentation and closing out trial accounts upon completion of a trial.
