Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director of Capital Finance, the Financial Coordinator will assist in with monitoring, reporting and control of the five-year rolling capital plan. The Financial Coordinator will utilize information from the University financial accounting systems and Facilities' project management system, databases and spreadsheets to reconcile project financial data and complete variance analyses.
Additional responsibilities will include: Researching, analyzing and summarizing financial data for small-scale capital projects. Developing and managing reports which assist management with the approval of financial tasks. Reconciliation of capital expenses to ensure data integrity, assemble data for monthly financial reports distributed to management. Work with project managers to close out capital projects from a financial perspective. Report the break down by component by project to management for depreciation purposes. Aggregate data to utilize in benchmarking exercises, provide financial reports on an on-going and ad-hoc basis as requested by management. Provide final approval of financial transactions within a low dollar threshold. Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent, plus a minimum of 0-2 years related experience required including experience or major in finance, budgeting and/or accounting with advanced Excel and statistical analysis skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to follow through with assigned tasks efficiently and accurately, the ability to exercise solid judgment and establish priorities for workload and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
