Do you enjoy collecting and analyzing data?  Does the thought of preparing projections, analyzing variances, and reporting findings excite you?  If so, it’s a great time to join The Division of Finance and Business Services as a financial analyst! 

At Texas A&M, the Division of Finance and Business Services aligns personnel and functions to provide customer-focused financial process improvements and standard financial and business processes across campus.  

Opportunities to Contribute:

  • Research budgeting, accounting, and departmental issues
  • Prepare reports and financial presentations for various constituents
  • Develop and maintains statistical models to perform revenue and expense forecasting
  • Forecast capital assets and operating costs

Qualifications:

Financial Analyst II

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years of related experience

Financial Analyst III

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of related experience

A well-qualified candidate for either of these positions will also possess:

  • Master’s degree in business related field
  • Advanced proficiency with data management systems (Data Warehouse, Business Objects, HCM Workday, BPP, FAMIS, and Compass)
  • Ability to work with large data sets

Compensation and classification are based on the analyses of the above qualifications during the recruitment process.
