Financial Analyst

The NYU College of Nursing is a nationally recognized leader in nurse education and innovative research in the field of nursing science. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, the Financial Analyst will provide day to day financial administration and management support. Implement and assist with developing and ensuring adherence to processes for monitoring and analyzing the College's revenue and expenses. Serve as liaison among departments and programs and faculty, administration, and University offices. Compile, analyze and prepare summaries on fiscal information to support management decision making. Make recommendations to management based on knowledge of fiscal activity including allowable expenses, investigate discrepancies and negotiate solutions with appropriate University offices to resolve problem transactions. Train staff on financial systems.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/education
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree Accounting or Finance
Required Experience:
3+ years Proper Cost accounting of departmental budgets
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate policies effectively; proficiency with spreadsheet, database and financial software applications. Ability to effectively problem-solve, analyze information and data, think critically and use good judgment essential. Should be able to work in a team environment and maintain confidentiality of information. Strong time management and organization skills with flexibility to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $71,100.00 to USD $86,900.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
