Financial Analyst

Under general supervision, conducts and documents moderate to complex financial analysis projects.

25%   Complete analysis on financial data including performance to budget, evaluation of categories of expenditures, comparisons across university schools and divisions and external benchmarks.
25%    Assist in maintaining financial reporting and budgeting tools.
25%    Assist in the preparation of various financial reports including monthly reports, senior management reporting,  and board of trustees reporting package.
25%    Manage ad-hoc analytical projects to gain insights into financial and process improvement opportunities.

 


Qualifications:
Bachelors' Degree.
0-4 years' related finance/accounting experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of institutional business policies, practices, and terminology
Knowledge of budget processes
Report design and preparation skills
Interpersonal/human relations skills
Written and verbal communication skills
Analytical skills
Ability to operate personal computer and calculator
Ability to maintain confidentiality
