Friends University is seeking to fill the Financial Aid Representative position in Wichita Kansas. This position assists students with the financial aid process from inquiries to disbursement of funds. Responsibilities include processing documents, preparing correspondence, entering data, and developing requests necessary for funding disbursement and other documents relating to financial aid. Assists students, parents, and university staff with financial aid inquiries, loan information and application procedures either in person, in writing, by telephone or via internet Work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Skills & Requirements

One to two years of experience in financial aid or a related field is preferred.  Ability to operate computer equipment and software including word-processing, spreadsheet, communication tools required (Microsoft Office products preferred), and knowledge of SCT Banner a plus.  Decision-making, problem-solving and effective personal management is a must.

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, management or related field is preferred.

Excellent interpersonal, oral communication and customer service skills are required.  The ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required.  Good written communication skills are required.
