Job Summary
In accordance with the Chancellor’s strategic 2030 Plan to ensure UWM is a radically welcoming university, the newly created Student Financial Service Center (SFSC) aims to provide important and timely information regarding both Financial Aid and Student Accounts to Panther students and families as well as campus and community partners. The SFSC Advisor serves as a guide to all constituents who find themselves navigating any stage of financing a quality higher education at UWM by providing efficient and friendly direct customer service, presentations and outreach opportunities, and publication and communication development.
Job Summary:
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) invites and applications for the position of Financial Aid Advisor in the Student Financial Service Center.
This position assists in the planning and direction of financial aid processes and billing questions to students and parents. Student Financial Service Center Staff will work to create a space where students can come to find answers to all their financial questions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree, or commensurate experience
  • Experience providing customer service
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Experience in Financial Aid or other Student Account-related offices
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute multiple duties
  • Experience with PeopleSoft student information management systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Bilingual in Spanish
Target Salary Range $45,000 - $55,000
