Job Overview

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients.

The College of Medicine Operations and Finance office at the University of Cincinnati is accepting applications for an open Financial Administrator 2 position. This position reports to the Sr. Business Administrator and performs a variety of purchasing transactions, prepares various reports, and provides administrative support functions.  The person in this role is responsible for a large volume of purchasing and processing reimbursement requests.
 


Essential Functions
  • Coordinate and monitor fiscal administrative duties.
  • Assist in the development of unit policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the financial status of unit programs and other budget allocations.
  • Implement policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare reports.
  • May coordinate personnel functions for an operating unit at less than 25% of duties.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree must be in accounting or related work.
  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Two (2) years of finance or accounting experience.


Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience in purchasing, particularly using and accounting for Purchasing Card purchases and Purchasing Requisition purchases
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Experience using SAP Concur

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
