Job Overview

With guidance and using established procedures with detailed instructions, will engage in the day-to-day administration of activities related to financial administration, HR processing, and grant administration. With guidance from supervisor, review and analyze various programmatic impacts on finance and HR. 


This position is a full-time role and reports to the CCPS Business Officer. CCPS participates in the University’s alternative work program; hybrid work schedule is negotiable.


Essential Functions
  • Coordinate HR functions for an operating unit, including but not limited to, Personnel 
  • Change Request (PCR) initiator, Personnel Services Contracts (PSC) initiator, and timekeeping and leave of absence coordination.
  • Assist operational staff with recruitment, selection, and hiring processes.
  • Prepare and assist in budget-related statistical analysis, estimates, and financial reports.
  • Assist in the development and input of financial transactions into university systems.
  • Assist grant staff with the processing and financial transactions for federal, state, and private grants, contracts, and any other external funding sources.
  • Implement policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Assist grant staff with working with the various offices of the university to fulfill expenditure/compliance requirements and to resolve complex issues with arise during the duration of sponsored awards.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to student workers (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, etc.).

Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree must be in a relevant field.
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Related experience in finance, HR, data entry or other administrative fields.
