Here is your opportunity to contribute, serving as our Financial Accountant.  We are seeking problem-solving, customer-centric, detail-oriented individuals with valuable experience. This position is integral to supporting our business operations and the advancement of our unit. We envision this role may be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Credit limit/decreases and card cancellations. Assigns cards in Concur as necessary. Reviews the twice weekly report for in-progress applications to verify cards have been created. May assist with reconciling accounts. Provide customer service point of contact and administrator of the current card provider software for both the Payment and Travel Card Programs.

  • Performing reconciliations, bookkeeping and auditing financial accounting documents for accuracy and completeness

  • Researching discrepancies and reporting findings and solutions

  • Performs compliance reviews of the payment card transactions for TAMU, TAMHSC, TAMUS, TAMSSC &TDEM.

Qualifications

Financial Accountant I

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Accounting experience in a business office preferred.

A well Qualified applicant will have two years accounting experience in a business office and experience in higher education.
