Financial Management Operations provides quality services that enable the institution to track and monitor fiscal operations. Our goal is to assist in developing and maintaining quality accounting records and processes.

What you need to know

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • No experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication.

  • Customer service and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to comprehend and apply rules and regulations.

  • Practical knowledge of governmental and higher education operations.

  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs. 

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet programs and bookkeeping procedures

  • Previous Texas A&M University experience

Essential Duties/Tasks -

Customer Service and Helpdesk: 

  • Answers general accounting questions.

  • Assists with Financial System Configuration and Workflow options.

  • Provides technical assistance regarding accounting procedures and Financial Systems

Security Review and Document Processing:

  • Performs accounting work to include the recording, examining, and analyzing financial records, documents or reports.

  • Prepares and analyzes financial transactions. Audits accounting and financial documents for accuracy and completeness.

Policy Compliance and Internal Controls:

  • Assures compliance with standards, policies and procedures.

  • Ensure proper training has been completed and access requested is appropriate for job duties.

  • Researches discrepancies and reports findings related to Security to Accounting and Financial Systems.
