Finance Business Partner - Health Sciences Development

he David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (DGSOM) seeks to hire a Finance Business Partner, Health Science Development in the Dean’s Office.

The DGSOM is comprised of 24 academic departments, 5 organized research units, and 5 interdisciplinary research centers and is the academic home to approximately 3,700 faculty and 2500 trainees, students and fellows. The DGSOM employs about 9,000 staff and non-faculty academics. The DGSOM’s annual revenue totals approximately $3B, expendable net assets of approx. $1.1B and its endowments and quasi endowments approximately $2.5B.

The Finance Business Partner, Health Science Development is a key member of the Dean’s Office finance team.  In this role, you will report to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis and Decision Support in the DGSOM Financial Affairs Office, with a dotted line reporting to the Executive Director, Health Science Development Operations. You will provide financial stewardship oversight of all DGSOM and Vice Chancellor Health Sciences gifts and endowments and collaborates, as needed, with UCLA Health System fund management on programs and centers where there is significant overlap.  This includes ensuring that all gifts and endowments are allocated, managed, and disbursed in accordance with legal obligations, donor intent, and policies as established by The UCLA Foundation, The UCLA Regents, and the University.
