Fellowship Manager

Job Summary

As part of the business office, the Fellowship Manager for the Graduate School business office will manage various fellowship duties.  This person will be working closely with Graduate School administrators, faculty, grad students, and college administrative staff/business offices to guide the administration of fellowship program activities through the appropriate steps.  This includes maintaining continuous flow through proposal submission, award, and post-fellowship award activities for external fellowships. The person in this position will be responsible for facilitating communication between multiple departments within the University as well as external constituents, including interpreting and conveying University and Federal policies and procedures.  Coordinate and manage data to develop and provide reporting that helps to inform decision-making about the Grad Fellowship Program. They will be responsible for providing training and actively participating in college and University-level committees.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field required
  • 3 years of experience in account management, financial management, or related field
  • Experience in training and mentoring peers or staff in non-exempt positions
  • Ability to manage complex and high-profile financial portfolios
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance on complex projects
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, organizational, project management, and customer service skills
  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and produce quality management reports
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and implement University and Federal policies and procedures
  • Ability to influence and build working relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that allows for demands of reporting, implementation of new projects, etc.
  • Learning orientation toward changing technology impacting business processes

 

Preferred:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in portfolio management.
