The Feed the Pack Food Pantry, an initiative at NC State, is dedicated to addressing the food insecurities within our campus community, including students, staff, and faculty. It operates with a mission to provide food assistance with dignity and respect, ensuring that every member of the NC State community has access to necessary food supplies. Primary Purpose of Position:
  • Drive cargo van to pick-up food for the pantry from the foodbank, retail partners, and community organizations
  • Exercise sound judgment when identifying foods that need to be stocked in the pantry from our partners.
  • Organize and direct volunteers to stock and prepare the pantry for opening on Mondays
  • Onboard, supervise, and train Feed the Pack Shift Leaders who are responsible for opening and closing procedures of the pantry.
  • Assist the Program Coordinator and Student Manager in maintaining inventory and submitting reports
  • Submit facilities work orders for repairs and maintenance issues
  • Complete daily task-list and duties as assigned that may include: responding to emails, scheduling shift leaders, ordering additional food, preparing inventory reports.
