Summary/Objective

Each teaching assistant is assigned to one or more sections of courses where they help the course instructors under their supervision. Depending on the course needs, their work may include grading, holding office hours, preparing course materials, helping students during their lab or practical sessions, and so on. The work schedule and duties are to be discussed with the course instructor. Instructors are responsible to clarify the work duties and establish the work hours that account for the TA's own course schedule. During the semester, supervisors will guide their Teaching Assistants, evaluate their work, and provide feedback. These positions are open to AU Federal Work Study students. The number of hours is negotiable - please let us know how many hours per week you can work, without sacrificing your own coursework, and how many hours your FWS award can cover.
