| Job Description | ECU Department of Political Science is seeking Federal Work-Study students to work as Research Assistants. The Political Science department is seeking for a Federal Work-Study student to work on the Bi-annual Transit Industry survey by collecting contact information. The position will involve data collection and research on individual transit agencies. The majority of the work can be done remotely; some meetings can be helpful. |
| Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.) | Preferred Majors: -Political Science -Sociology -Political Science Related Fields. The applicant should be confident in the use of Microsoft Excel and the use of online archival databases. Completed coursework in research methods and design is preferred. The position requires the ability to use online archival databases, data management, and the use of excel. Preferred coursework includes data management, quantitative methods, and qualitative methods. The position requires the individual to be able to work independently, be dependable, and communicate effectively. |
