Position Summary:


The FWS – Off Campus program provides employment opportunities for Bryant & Stratton College students in federal, state, or local public agencies and private nonprofit organizations.  Students must be eligible to receive need-based financial aid at Bryant & Stratton College to participate in this program.  This current opportunity is with Variety – The Children’s Charity of Wisconsin.   Which is a is a non-profit organization with a mission of enriching the lives of children with physical or developmental special needs and their families. Essential Job Functions and Duties:

The student worker will be responsible for assisting the Variety – the Children’s Charity of Wisconsin team with administrative tasks, providing support in day-to-day operations, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization. This position is designed to accommodate the student’s academic schedule.

Some of the tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Enter new Variety family registrations into DonorPro database
  • Assist with obtaining auction items for three summer fundraising golf outings. Follow-up with leads, arrange for pick-up and/or drop off or mailing of secured items. Enter secured auction items into database and generate thank you notes.
  • Create memorable social media posts
  • If available, attend and assist with local Variety events as needed (both fundraisers and family Discover events)
  • Assist with volunteer management at events
  • Other tasks as assigned by Variety staff

Minimum Qualifications, Competencies and Experience:

  • Commitment 5-10 hours per week
  • In good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to ask questions and take initiative.
  • Personal transportation required, site location Elm Grove, WI
