Primary Purpose
The Cascade Culinary Institute Assistant will be assigned to one or several functions as follow: 
1. Procurement/Purchasing Room
2. Retail/Public Service areas including all or any of the following:
  • CCI Friday Bakery Kiosk
  • CCI Food Truck
  • Elevation Restaurant
Essenatial Duties and Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Inventory management, to include:
    • Stocking food carts to prepare ingredients for courses under the guidance of the CCI Purchasing Specialist.
    • Ensuring an organized and sanitary stock room

     2. Retail/Service areas to include:
    • Preparation, cooking, baking and presentation of culinary and baking/pastry products.
    • Retail presentation (cleaning, product placement, retail organization and design).
    • Customer Service
    • POS operation
    • Sales reports and income reconciliation
    Department Specific
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of culinary and baking and pastry techniques.
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation techniques.
  • Ability to operate POS system, count change, track income, and reconcile sales report.
  • Skills in organization, customer service, counting change, product presentation.

    Minimum Requirements
    • Current Cascade Culinary Institute Student
    • Must have been awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2023-24.
    • Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
    • Successfully pass a background check.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Customer service experience
    • Students in their second year of Cascade Culinary Institute programs are preferred.
