The primary goal of this position is to aid and support the GaView Administrative Team in Instructional Technology.  The Brightspace(D2L) Student Assistant will provide support to students during NSO in person and remotely via various remote access platforms. This student would be expected to learn general computer support software and will gain knowledge on how to use a variety of Brightspace LMS tools effectively. The ideal candidate would have strong organizational skills and a basic knowledge of Brightspace Learning Environment They would be able to work independently to help diagnose issues over the phone and in person.
  • Introduce Brightspace(D2L) learning environment during NSO meetings
  • Assist students with basic login issues and escalate problems to Drs. Nwaogu and Ravi
  • Create how-to documents to explain how Brightspace (D2L) tools are used
  • Provide general assistance during faculty training workshops and record keeping of workshop attendance, etc.
  • Assist with file management and general organization
  • Maintain log of Student Email Requests
  • Routine clerical and computer tasks
  • Other Duties as assigned by Supervisor

    • Computer literacy
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Current AMSC student with good standing academically (FAFSA completed)
    • Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
    • Demonstrate FA need
