Primary Function:  This position is primarily responsible for providing front desk coverage, handling office tasks, and light cleaning during the lunch hour window (11am-1pm) in the main athletic center.  General duties include, but are not limited to, reception duties, clerical support, and cleanliness of the reception area, conference room, and offices/hallways.


Essential Functions:

  • Answer phones/take and relay messages; greet visitors warmly; monitor foot-traffic in the athletic center; ensure reception area is presentable and welcoming; collect and distribute parcels of mail and packages; assist with copying and faxing; keep white board calendar updated; update facility signs; keep bulletin boards neat and current; complete minor projects as assigned (50%)
  • Empty trashcans from common areas and offices; vacuum/dust/upkeep cleanliness of reception area, conference room, offices, hallways (50%)

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as requested.


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.    
  • Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail, good organizational skills with the ability to ensure accurate work.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee/student-related information.
  • Ability to work independently, but as part of team concept.



Working Conditions:

  • Works in a loud environment.
  • Constant bending, kneeling, crouching, walking, and lifting
  • Required to work with cleaning chemicals on a regular basis
